Exchange your foreign driving licence for a Polish one
We run the whole case: we check your document, help with the sworn translation and file the application electronically through your Trusted Profile (Profil Zaufany). A registered address in Poland is required; a missing PESEL number or Trusted Profile can be arranged as add-on services.
Check whether we can exchange your licence without an exam
It all depends on the country that issued the document. Pick it from the list — you get the answer straight away.
Membership of the Vienna Convention does not settle everything: the office also checks whether the document matches its model and data scope. That is why a lawyer looks at the scan of your licence before we file.
The price covers handling the entire case. The 100 PLN issuance fee and the sworn translation (quoted before you pay) are billed separately. A missing PESEL or Trusted Profile can be added to your order; the registered address you must have — it determines the issuing office.

Details from your licence and ID document plus your address in Poland. The form works in eight languages.

You upload scans and sign two documents
Both sides of the licence, your ID document, a photograph. We generate the power of attorney and the declaration ready to print — you sign them, upload a scan and post us the originals.

We manage the sworn translation, complete the attachments and file the application electronically through your Trusted Profile with the office matching your registered address.

You collect the Polish licence
We keep you informed about the case. When the Polish document is collected, the foreign licence is surrendered — without that the office will not issue the new one.

Frequently asked questions
Will I have to take an exam?
No, provided the licence was issued by a party to the 1968 Vienna Convention and the document matches its model. Since 17 December 2025 the 1949 Geneva Convention alone is no longer enough — a licence from such a country is exchanged only after the theory exam. Check your country above.
Do I have to go to the office?
We file the application electronically through your Trusted Profile and watch over the case as your attorney. You only visit the office to collect the Polish document. If you purchase the PESEL/registration or Trusted Profile add-on, you'll also visit our office once.
When do I need to exchange the licence?
A non-EU foreign licence lets you drive in Poland for the first six months after you settle here. You can obtain the Polish document once you stay in Poland for at least 185 days a year because of personal or occupational ties.
Are medical tests required?
When exchanging a valid licence a medical certificate is usually not required. The office asks for one when the document has expired or when professional categories are involved (C, D and their derivatives).
Do I have to give up my foreign licence?
Yes. The foreign document is surrendered when the Polish one is collected — that is what an exchange is. Without it the office will not issue the Polish licence.
I don't have a PESEL number or a Trusted Profile. What now?
You don't have to arrange anything yourself: in the order you can add obtaining a PESEL number (300 PLN) and setting up a Trusted Profile (150 PLN at our office, or 300 PLN with assistance at the government office) — all during one visit in Warsaw. The registered address (meldunek) you must have on your own: it determines the office competent for your application. No registration? Write to us — we'll advise.
